Cleo’s love of art, design and interiors came at an early age through drawing, painting and film photography. Her earliest professional work in design began in the wardrobe department doing styling and costume for music videos, film, and television in her hometown of Vancouver, Canada. In 2007 she moved to New York to study fashion at Parsons School of Design. During those formative years, she spent time at various fashion houses gaining a wide range of experience.
In 2011 she launched her own brand “Primary New York” with a wholesale and private label-business which included leather outerwear, silk dresses and fine jewelry made in 18K gold, diamonds and gemstones.
In 2016, Cleo opened her Williamsburg, Brooklyn photography studio to create content and creative direction for other brands, while simultaneously producing designs, and content for Primary New York. After a decade in business, Cleo closed Primary, the online store and studio in 2021.
Cleo is currently working on a fine art photography project and you can find her seasonal series of original watercolors at the Tarin Thomas shop on Bleecker street in New York. Cleo lives between the Hamptons and New York with her husband and three children.
